My first travel day is on July 31st; I have the 15-days-in-2-months pass. I am wondering if this means I can travel until August 30th, or September 30th.

First travel day is on the last day of the month - is the whole month "lost"?
You can travel until the 30th of September if you activate your pass on the 31st of July.
