There's no overnight train from Frankfurt to Milan. There is one from Munich to Venice, where you can take another train to Milan, but this is not covered by the German Rail Pass.

The German Rail Pass does cover the day trains from Munich via Innsbruck to Venice, where you can change to Milan. Venice - Milan is however not covered by the German Rail Pass.

Depending on your plans, a global pass may be better for you.
