Hello,

my residency is in Leipzig, Germany. Here is my itinerary:

24.05.2023 Leipzig to Zürich

26.05.2023 Zürich to Innsbruck to Leipzig (I want to spend some hours in Innsbruck and then travel back to Leipzig, but I have to transit in München, Germany during my trip from Innsbruck to Leipzig).

Would it be possible to use the ticket as an inbound journey? can I use my ticket from München to Leipzig?

thank you

Yes of course. You can take how many trains as you want in your country of residence on that day.

As 26th May is the start of a holiday weekend, seat reservations are very recommended.

  • 3€ on tickets.oebb.at for Zurich - Innsbruck (only 9 seats left on the 10:40 train for example)
  • 4.50€ on bahn.de for Innsbruck - Munich - Leipzig

You can always board the train but you might have to stand.

Due to landslides the Zurich - Innsbruck railway is cut between Oetztal and Landeck-Zams until the end of May. You’ll have to take a rail replacement bus for that leg.
