I am a new user to the Eurail and Interrail world and, unfortunately, I find mysel lost in the organization.

My friends and I are planning a trip to Greece between September and October with the “4 days within 1 month pass”… how does it work? 

Do I have to buy the pass first and retrieve a code to book ferries or is there a different procedure?

Do the companies that are included in the Pass (Superfast Ferries, Minoan Lines, Grimaldi Lines, Blue Star Ferries) cover every route? If not, where can I find the differnt options?
