How to convert my Pass number into Order Number?

Hi,

I bought several Interrail passes and I see only one Order Number in the e-mail (or here at eurail.com) and four Pass numbers. For booking Frecciarossa reservations at https://partners.italiarail.com I need the Order Number for each pass of each traveller, not just one.

In the past I could find a link to a site on this website that did the conversion for each Pass number but I can’t find it any more.

Does this still work like that?

Note that this is horrible in terms of user friendliness, both on the side of Eurail (just provide it if anyone could ever ask it) and on the side of ItaliaRail. Hopefully there is a better way to get my Frecciarossa reservations, but I could not find any yet…

TIA!

You can also book Frecciarossa reservations here:

  • tickets.oebb.at: No pass (cover) number needed, no booking fees. Add the Interrail/Eurail discount and choose "One-way tickets” (NOT "Seat reservation only”). Only book one train at a time.
  • www.raileurope.com: mobile pass number or paper pass cover number needed, no booking fees. Click on "Add rail pass” and then look for your train.

You can also book Frecciarossa reservations here:

  • tickets.oebb.at: No pass (cover) number needed, no booking fees. Add the Interrail/Eurail discount and choose "One-way tickets” (NOT "Seat reservation only”). Only book one train at a time.

It says

€98.00

Ticket for section only

because I need two Frecciarossa’s to get through Italy that day I would pay another €98. And with ItaliaRail it will be €58 for this train and €58 for the second train in total it will definitely be cheaper to book through ItaliaRail. Hopefully EUrail customer service can supply me with the Order Numbers I need (asked them through chat that turned into an e-mail form).

Better deal there! €52 instead of €58.

And there is a Pass Cover Number Generator! I received the link from customer service:

https://www.interrail.eu/en/book-reservations#/generatePassCoverNumber

I call it a Pass number generator so the search feature of this forum can find it.

Sounds like you tried multiple trains in one go (that often does not work on ÖBB) and you did not add the Interrail/Eurail discount, or not for all persons. ÖBB only charge €13 per person.

i did, but it looks like their software does not apply it under a certain age.

Anyway, I want to appreciate raileurope.com for their ambition to make it user friendly. This is not, never has been and probably never will be the ambition of the ÖBB. Running (night) trains is their specialism.
