I bought my interrail pass (10 travel days within 2 months) but when I tried to reserve my first train journey I accidentally reserved it a month earlier than I meant to, when I won't even be travelling so won’t have activated my pass. Will this count as a travel day even if I don’t actually travel?

Reservations are entirely separate from your pass. Booking a reservation doesn't activate anything on your pass.
