I have bought a 2 months-global pass with the youth-discount. Considering that I will turn 27 years on the 21st of August, I was wondering whether this means that I will be able to travel after that 21st of August as long as I activate the pass before that date. Or do I have to finish my travel before I turn 27?

You have to start you travel, or rather activate your pass with a date, before your birthday. You can then travel during the validity of the pass even after your birthday.
