Interrail pass eligibility

Hello,
I am a researcher at a Belgian university. I am an Indian national and currently hold a valid Belgian residence permit as I study here.

Would I be eligible for the Interrail pass? I am looking forward to purchase the global pass for my holidays.
Thank you very much.

Warm regards,
Joaquim

Should be fine. You can read about it here:

Bring the residency permit onboard, so you can show it on request.

Thanks Sebastian. That helps.

I am bit confused on how the conditions of the interrail pass “conditions of interprets pass” interprets a resident:

  • Only European residents can travel with an Interrail Pass. If you’re a non-European resident, you can travel with a Eurail Pass. Read more

If you’re not a European citizen, but you are a permanent resident of Europe, you can also use an Interrail Pass. We ask for your country of residence when you order, so you will need to bring an official European residency card or document along with you that matches the country of residence written on your Interrail Pass. Check our booking conditions (Article 5) to see if your country of residence is eligible for an Interrail Pass

My residence permit is reissued every year. Does that still qualify?

I am sorry if I am reading too much into this. 😪

Hello, we are sorry that you have not received an answer to this yet! We do elaborate on this a bit more in our booking conditions under Article 5. In case the country where you live and/or work -your official country of residence- is different than the nationality in your passport or legal equivalent, the country where you actually live and/or work prevails and should be indicated when ordering the Pass. You can proof residency by any government issued ID or proof of residency - hope that helps! :)
