How does it work to buy multiple passes? I buy 2 passes and *activate” the first by making the first reservation of a train tomorrow?
And then even in 5 months I can “active” the second period of three months by making another reservation?
So I don’t already now need to know the exact travel dates?

You activate the pass when you need it, not to buy reservations. With the mobile pass you can choose when the first day is. But after you have buy the pass, the first day of validity must be in max. 11 months.

AND from the swiss (expensive, chocolate, white mountains) you can do quite a few trips-mostly to DE or AT-without the need for any REServ. EACH pass ONLY allows you 1 trip OUT and back IN-but for multiple short trips you can simply use your general ABO or even Gleis7 pass for that part In SBB/CH
