Must I buy a ticket from Brig to Domodossola (I) with my 3 day interrail pass?

Hello,

I am traveling to Italie soon with friends, and I got us the interail 3 day pass. We are leaving from Switzerland and our first train goes from Brig to Milano, however I am unsure if my interail Italie pass covers this first trip. I called the CFF and the lady told me I need a ticket from Brig to the first Italien stop (Domodossola) because the pass is only valide IN italie. But on the interrail app it doesn’t seem to tell me I need an extra ticket… What should I do?

A one country pass for Italy is only valid in Italy. If you travel from/via Brig, then it is indeed valid from Domodossola, so you need a ticket to Domodossola.
