Hi everybody,

Going for a trip through Eastern Europe with end destination Istanbul this summer. Including 2 kids. Should it be more safe choosing the paper option? Regarding the countries as Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. If the conductor doesn’t accept mobile tickets or app we have nothing to show, no?

Or are we wrong? When I visit the interrail website i feel a strong push towards mobile passes, but also for Eastern Europe? Anyone with experience, please some advice,

The mobile passes are accepted everywhere. Validity is the same as for the paper pass. Moreover, it's been 3.5 years since the global pass became available on mobile devices and 90% is sold as mobile pass, so staff should be quite familiar with it by now.
