I need to return my paper pass as soon as possible.

The return label that came with the paper pass has the address:

Eurail. B.V., Int. Business Return Service, I.B.R.S./C.C.R.I. No.7, 3500 ZA Utrecht (NL).

  1. Can I know if this is the correct address to send the paper pass to?
  1. Also, I would like to know if the return label guarantees delivery, as I am sending the pass from the United States. If the return label cannot guarantee delivery, can I use DHL or FedEx to send it to the above address?

This is the return label that I have received:

I have already sent this question to customer service a couple of days ago, but I have yet to receive a response. I would greatly appreciate it if someone from Eurail can answer my question as soon as possible.

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for the reply. However, I couldn’t see your reply content.

Could you send it again to me?

Anna was tagging two Eurail employees in this thread, who may be able to investigate for you.

@ralderton, thank you very much for the reply.

Hope the two Eurail employees will reply soon.

Hello @duyun, the address on the return label is correct. That return label is standard and usually gets the delivery done. Just note that if you choose to use DHL or Fedex, it is non refundable. I hope this helped to clarify things.

@St Kristoffer , thank you very much for your reply. Just would like to clarify: do you mean non refundable for the postage? Yes, I am willing to pay for the postage. By using DHL, just would like to confimr that Eurail will still give me refund once the physical paper passes are received.

I have returned my paper pass using the provided return label. I did some research and found out that this type of return label is part of the international business reply service. Eurail utilized the same service to send the paper passes via registered mail, however, the return label was only for standard mail without a tracking number. To ensure my pass was safely returned, I went to USPS today and spent $27 to have it sent via registered mail, using the return label provided by Eurail.

Thank you all for the help!

Hi @duyun, thank you for confirming! I'd advise you to track the delivery status via https://parcelsapp.com/en/ and contact our customer service team via https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/requests/new if there's any issue involved with the delivery.

Have a nice day! :)

@Mukhammad , thank you!

@Mukhammad

I contacted our local US Postal office to inquire about the delivery status of my return package. According to the information I received, the return package arrived at the local Netherlands postal office on May 7, 2024. An attempted delivery was made but was unsuccessful. I am not sure if the US postal office has requested signature for the international tracking mail. As a result, the package has been held at the delivery depot or the local postal office since May 8, 2024. I am uncertain about how long the return package will be held there. I hope that it will not be destroyed or returned to the US.

I would like to know how Eurail handles this situation?  If someone from Eurail could reach out to the local office to facilitate the delivery or pickup of my return package?

Thank you!

Yun

Did you agree with Eurail staff to send the return with registered mail? You must have the exact name of the person that will sign for the delivery when you send something by registered mail.

@Mukhammad @St Kristoffer @Camilo.

Can someone please look at this?

@AnnaB , I didn’t write the exact name of the person to sign it on the return package. I just used the return label provided by the Eurail. The USPS didn’t tell me if the signature was required upon the delivery

This is the return package. The sender and recipient are the same on the return label.

You wrote earlier that you sent it via registered mail, which means that a signature is always needed upon delivery.

@rvdborgt Eurail customer service has notified me that they had received it.

Thanks,

Yun
