We have Interrail Global Passes and are currently in Vienna, having flown here from Germany. Our home country is Germany, and we haven't activated our passes yet. We plan to take a night train from Vienna to Zurich, which passes through Germany. Interrail Global Passes usually offer 2 travel days for inbound and outbound journeys in the home country. Will we be able to use our passes to travel back to Germany from zurich on this route?

Tariflich ist es so, dass das keinen Fahrttag im Heimatland abziehen darf. Die Strecke ist tariflich komplett innerösterreichisch.
Ich würde auch vermuten, dass die App keinen Fahrttag im Heimatland abzieht, da der Zug zwar durch Deutschland fährt, aber dort keinen Halt hat. Es würde mich wundern, wenn die App das bemerkt, dass die Fahrt durch Deutschland geht.
Sollte die App doch melden, dass die Fahrt einen Fahrttag im Heimatland verbraucht (unwahrscheinlich, aber man weiß ja nie), dann fügt die Fahrt manuell hinzu. Das ist tariflich ok.
+8I'm pretty sure this will use one of you Country of residence days, even though you don't stop in Germany. So this would use one day, and your journey from Zurich to Germany world use your second day.
It shouldn't use one of those days as there's no stop in Germany (Korridorzug) but I'm not 100% sure. Feel free to try (for a far away date), there's a box appearing "do you want to use an inbound/outbound day?". Feedback welcome.
Otherwise Graz - Zurich doesn't go through Germany at all but you shouldn't require that trick.
