To travel on any train you need a valid “ticket”. With a pass that is simply the train details added to your Trip (either from the planner or manually) and then, before boarding simply operating the grey toggle and that creates your “ticket”. This creates a daily QR code and a list of trains as you activate them.
For trains requiring a reservation that is totally separate from your pass/ticket and you require the evidence of your reservation as well as the validated pass/ticket.

You will receive your reservation either as e-ticket or physical paper ticket which which will be send to your home address once your order has been processed. On the day of travel, you will need to show your pass and reservation to train conductor/ manager.
