Hi!
I’m getting a sleeper train from Vienna to Venice. It departs at 9 pm and arrives at Venice at 8 am.
I was wondering if I could do this journey with 1 travel day or if I would have to use 2 as I’m not sure if the pass counts for a day or for 24 hours from activation.
Couldn't quite find an answer.

The departure day is what matters. Your journey will use a single travel day.
On a travel day (00:00-23:59) you can board as many trains you'd like. :)
