Regarding the 1or2 month(s) traveling pass.
Do all travels have to be from consecutive destination/departure locations? Or is it possible, for instance, to travel by train, book a flight yourself to the other side of Europe, and continue traveling by train?

You can travel as you like. The only restriction is that you only have two travel days in your country of residence.
