Hi,

I need to take the train 11th of august from Brussels to Milan, I added the trip to my pass and wanted to do the seat reservation today but it states that all the trains from brussels to paris are fully booked. I dont know what to do now since I really need to be the 11th in milan and paid the interrail ticket for this trip.

could you help me please?

greetings

Noor

Avoid Paris : way too expensive and trains are sold out well in advance. Go via Germany where reservations are optional (but recommended in summer). You then cross Switzerland with beautiful scenery :)

Itinerary example :

- ICE Bruxelles-Midi - Köln Hbf 06:23 - 09:12

- ICE Köln Hbf - Mannheim Hbf 09:55 - 11:23

- ICE Mannheim Hbf - Basel SBB 11:35 - 13:47

If the second ICE is delayed (but not the first one) you could continue to Frankfurt and change there. 4.90€ for the whole journey on bahn.com or DB Navigator app (recommended)

i'd suggest a break in Basel. Then :

- EC Basel SBB - Lugano 15:03 - 17:58

- RE Lugano - Milano Centrale 18:02 - 19:17

Hourly service from Basel so you're flexible (1-2 trains per hour to Lugano).
