Friends, I’m really confused with trip and journey.

I’m taking a train from Venice to Luzern.

I have an option to book either a direct reservation or book in parts.

Either way, this is split as

Venice → Milan, Milan → Zug and then Zug → Luzern

so what is trip and what is journey here ?

Which one should I be using for connecting with Pass ?

Which one should be using for generating ticket ?

Thank you in Advance.

Have you looked at this page?

In the app's terminology, a trip is the collection of journeys you will use your pass for. A pass can only have exactly one trip linked to it. A journey can consist of multiple trains.

Venice - Milan and Milan - Zug will need a reservation (€11 + €10, book on tickets.oebb.at). Zug - Luzern or other domestic trains in Switzerland don't need a reservation.

Thank you @rvdborgt ..I looked at those articles, but was confusing ..now I’m clear. Thank you for explaining. I
