Hello fellow travellers. This is my first time considering a Eurail pass and I'm specifically looking at the Sweden Flexi Pass or Global Flexi Pass. I am not sure if I am getting the correct information online so would appreciate it if someone can help confirm this.

Can I use the Sweden Flexi Pass and Global Flexi Pass on the overnight Vy Nattag to Kiruna? I am yet to  decide between the two but would appreciate some clarity on the validity.

For overnight train, am I correct that only the day of boarding will be counted as one day?

Yes, passes are valid on the night trains to Kiruna. It's only one travel day as long as you stay on the same train after midnight:

Thanks rvdborgt!

I read a post that said sleepers are not available to rail pass holders.

Trying to get clarity here as the post is from 2 years ago so it may not be valid and things have changed since then.

I went to vy.se and tried a dummy reservation with a rail pass but got an option to select a 2nd class private sleeping compartment. I am hoping this is not a bug. Wouldn't want to buy a rail pass only to be told it’s not valid when on-board.

Sleepers have always been available for pass holders but on Vy trains no private sleeper compartments, or compartments with shower/toilet (which they call 1st class - a confusing name in combination with a sleeper).

If they offer it, then it's valid by definition.

Ok that explains the confusion. Thanks so much rvdborgt for clearing this up! 😊
