l am allowed one outward and return journey in my home country. l want to to use eurostar from st pancras. but l am travelling from shrewsbury. Can that be included as part of one journey ie shrewsbury to Paris for example ?

Yes that's fine. On 2 of your pass days (not extra days) you can take as many trains as you'd like in your country of residence.
Please remember to book Eurostar ASAP. There is a limited quota for passholders (30€ seat reservation) and it can sell out weeks in advance, esp. on London - Paris.

If there's none for your travel day, let us know and we'll look at alternatives. There are usually more seats to Lille (or Brussels). Lille - Paris is a 1h TGV ride (limited 10€ fare, then 20€) or a 3h journey on reservation-free TER regional trains.
