This is by far not the most difficult route-and in fact can be done wholly withOUT any RES-use local trains or in DE/AT even the ICE. Only very last leg Zagreb-Spl must be-and that can only be done when there @ counter. The purpose of the pass is not to rush in hi-speed across a few countries-but to see and explore all the unknown things along the way. Mademoiselle Stephanie is upset as she -even though Francaise- could not cope with it all. I like being called a Mademoiselle - Merci mcadv! It’s just frustrating that up to date pricing isn’t available before Passes are bought! That’s all!
Hi - this is a serious issue that clearly keeps on coming up over and over again with Eurail customers over the years and Eurail refuses to fix the fact that YOU CAN ONLY SEE TRUE/ REAL SEAT AVAILABILITY AND REAL SEAT RESERVATIONS AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT YOUR PASSES. So you spend hundreds of euros/dollars to buy a pass as you are led to believe there are seats available and then the truth is they are not. If the system can show true availability after you have bought a pass and activated it they can also show you the same before you buy the pass. They just choose not to show you that info Oh and when you try to ask for a refund they only give you 85%of your money back….classy move Eurail Send an email in to complain. Good luck nonetheless.
Also ask the community in advance to see if someone can verify that the the reversed seats on the trains you want are actually available. Otherwise you pay for the pass. Then go to reserve a seat and fond out that it may not even be available at all. and you don’t get a full refund for the money you spent on the pass. .

@barbelouille avez-vous déjà acheté vos pass ? assurez-vous de demander à quelqu'un dans la communauté qui a accès à la disponibilité réelle des places de train pour vérifier que ce que vous voulez est réellement disponible.J'ai acheté mes laissez-passer et j'ai découvert quand je suis allé réserver des sièges qu'ils n'étaient plus disponibles ou que je devais me rendre dans une gare pour réserver un siège.et maintenant ils ne rembourseront que 85% de mon argent ! 🙀

@Adena Astrowsky Completely understand what you’re going through, just had a really similar problem with my passes/ reservations.I know that doesn’t help at all though but thought I’d chime in that this seems to be a common theme with EurailSeat Reservations non existent only after I bought Passes!
@AnnaB Wow - really?!They clearly have the technology available to show reservation availability, they just choose to show it after the purchase of the passes rather than before the purchase of the passes. It just takes investment into changing that user experience. But from a company point of view - is it worth it for them? Right now - I’ve just spent $500 + on passes If I ask for a refund (as there are no seats available which I could only find out after purchasing the passes) according to their terms I get only 85% back.That is an easy $100+ that they make.I can imagine this goes on quite a bit but It feels like a very unprofessional way of running part of the business. I am sure when the process works - it works fantastically and it is honestly such an amazing way to explore Europe but it should be more transparent so that real decisions can be based on real data for travelers.
@rvdborgt thank you for the info. Yep, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head - the planner only shows availability after you log in and bought a pass. Up until then it shows or insinuates that there are spaces available! This is such a key issue for travelers….this feels very much like bait and switch.
@AnnaB Thanks for the link to the form, will be using that too. it’s sad that this is an issue really, but there is a slight solace in the fact that I m not the only one who has felt this was an issue.
Hi Al_G, thanks for that the train in question is:Overnight train - Biarritz to Paris on 29 July 2022It was just frustrating that it didn’t tell me there were no reservable seats (via eurail) on that train before i purchased the Global Passes!
