Hello. I have a global pass and want to book 2 -one way for my husband and I from Vienna to Berlin. If I buy through Eurail, it appears I get a 1st class seat but I don't get to choose my actual seat? Is that correct? However, if I book through bohn.com, I get to.choose my actual seat? And do I buy a seat only? Is my pass my ticket but my reservation my assigned seat? I am so confused!
I'm sure this is a redundant question but I want to make sure I don't mess this up! I just bought the 7 day Global Pass for my husband and I for a trip that doesn't start until April 2023. I added both to the app on my phone. My app is attached to a trip and his is attached to a separate trip because the app said it can't be added to the same trip as mine. Was that correct? The next step says to activate, but do I do that now or in April just before the 1st day of travel ( which will be the day we travel to Paris from London). Next...I want to purchase the tickets for the London to Paris train now. When I purchase those on Eurail or another site, will it ask for my pass number? Then...do I go back to the app and add those to our respective trips and can that be done without activation?
My husband and I will be travelling for 19 days in the Spring. How many days of a global pass do we need to do the complete trip by train? Do we use the pass for the trains within the cities as well as from country to country? Our tentative itinerary is:London to Paris to Stuttgart to Vienna to Berlin to Copenhagen to Oslo Is this still 19 days of pass travel since we will be using inter country/city trains daily or 7? We have been getting conflicting info.
