Trying to book the ‘reservation needed’ leg (Rotterdam to Antwerp 9.58 train Sat 22 April 2023) of my Leiden to Bruges journey. Eurail site says no reservations available and can’t get any further with later trains (won’t go to ‘Make Reservation’ option). Tried direct with Thalys, but they are not showing the 9.58 or indeed any other departures at all. Are there alternative ways of finding out if indeed reservations are all taken, and what the alternative options might be? I’m a newbie (last interrailed in 1974) so just trying to work out the system… Thank you.
I bought a paper pass last year timed for travel from 9 April this year. Special 50% deal offered at the time. Pass not yet activated. Issued by ATOC. However I now realise a mobile pass is likely to be easier, particularly as I’m travelling with someone who has a mobile pass. I’m going round in circles trying to find someone (other than chatbot which couldn’t answer my question) to tell me if this is possible and how it can be done. Any suggestions, or do I stick with my paper pass?
