For a long time, visiting the British Isles have been on my agenda, but now travelling there seems to be a distinct possibility.Due to the strikes in Germany I don’t book yet, but I made some basic plan.I want to some hiking in two or three areas, in addition I wanna participate on three different parkruns. In theory, this should be doable, but I’m happy to hear comments by people with more UK train experience.Pass Day 1 - from Freiburg, Germany via Brussels all the way to Yorkstay the weekend in York for historical sightseeing and parkrunPass Day 2 - after the weekend from York to a place in the Scottish Highlands; Fort William seems to be a bit difficult by train, so maybe Oban or Aviemore? Just wonder what happens if I buy a pass and because I miss a connection (no my fault), my trip hope is on the day after my pass expired. E.g. I have a 5 day Global Pass and wanna travel from England to Southern Germany where I live. Due to delays I only make it to Paris on Day 5, so what to do on Day 6 for the trip from Paris to Southern Germany? Buy a new single trip ticket or is the Global Pass extended for the trip home because of the delay?
