Hello,

I have ordered my first reservation from Copenhagen to Stockholm (e-ticket) and Oslo to Bergen (paper ticket) on 2nd July through the interrail website.

The payment succeeded and I got an order confirmation that stated that i would receive the tickets within 30 minutes. It’s more than 4 days and i still haven’t received any email. Also the tickets are not visible in my account.

I have sent a support ticket but they try to reply within 2 days but they haven’t. I am shocked that there is no telephone number available either.

Do you have any tips for me how to reach out for help? Thank you in advance,

Rish

Customer Support is currently overloaded with requests so you will  have to be patient to get help.

As you ordered a paper reservation I assume that your travel is some months away so there should be time for Customer Support to get back to you.

Have you looked for the e-ticket on your Eurail account? In some cases I think that you download the e-resevation there.

Thanks for responding Anna.

Yes the train for which I need paper reservation is in first week of August. Hopefully it will be fine by then.

Yes I have looked at my Eurail account. It says you have no reservations even though I have paid for 2 reservations.

I have already send an enquiry for customer support but not sure what else I can do?

Can you advise please?

Thank you!

Cheers
Rish

There's nothing more you can do right now regarding Customer Support. Maybe update the request and say that you want your money back instead of the reservations.

However I don't think that you have any reservations.

I suggest you make new reservations for Copenhagen- Stockholm at sj.se and for Oslo-Bergen by calling Entur in Norway. Both send e-tickets and are cheaper than Eurail.

  • Entur call center: +47 61 27 90 88 (press 9 for services in english).

Opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 23:00

Saturday: 08:00 - 21:00

Sunday: 08:00 - 23:00

Opening hours during bank holidays are shorter.

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to only make reservations through the Interrail/Eurail website if no other option is available.

Here is some useful information from the experienced travellers in the Community regarding both planning, reservations and activation of pass and travel days.

Planning

The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable and availability on the websites of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries.

Reservations

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website.  You can look at the guide in the link:

https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new topic, and you will get advice.

Please note that Interrail/Eurail charges an extra fee of 2 EUR per person and ticket in addition to the fee for the seat reservation.

Activation of pass

During the activation process, when you choose the start day of the validity of the pass, the first day of the validity period is automatically made a travel day, even if you don't enter a journey, the advice is therefore not to activate the pass before the first travel day as you only can deactivate the pass before 00.00 on the day the validity starts. If your travel plans change in the last moment you will loose travel days if you have activated the pass in advance.

It can be wise to make a test and activate the pass with a start date well in the future and then deactivate the pass immediately, just to see that everything works.

 Activation of travel day

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is also never to activate a travel day, that is connect a journey to your pass, until just before boarding the train, otherwise you might loose a travel day if your travel plans change in a late stage  You can't delete a travel day in the past. A travel day can only be deleted until 23.59 CET the day before the travel day.

Here are instructions for how to log into the request database so that you can look at the status of your request. You can also add information.

Use this link to come to the request database.

https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/requests/new

Click "Sign in" in the upper right corner.

Try to log in with the password to your Eurail account. If that doesn't work, click " Get a password".

If the system doesn't recognise your email address, then there is no request registered and you need to go back to the start screen and enter a request.

If you get a password, you can then log in and look at the status of your request.
