Hi , if a train is on the planner app but not on eurail online will that train still be going ahead ?

Maybe. And again: it should go without saying as evident that the planner of the railway concerned is always as such the very best and most reliable. Next best is bahn.com (german railways) as it covers even a little more as app and is frequently updated to actual situation. The app is not and hence cannot always be trusted-as has been told here a few million times by now. Trains can both disappear=cancelled, or appear=new or get retimed, due to works, new routing or whatever.

Remember that 1st rule of computers: you can only get out what someone has put in-and if that was rubbish, rubbish comes out.

The rail planner is normally not up to date, as it only is updated once a month, so to be sure of the time table you better check the timetable of the national railways. The bigger national railways, like DB (Germany) SBB (Switzerland) and ÖBB (Austria) cover several countries.

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website. You can look at the guide in the link:

https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new post, and you will get advice.
