Yes you can. Within France, ICE works the same as a TGV, which means you need a reservation.

24/12 is Christmas Eve, don’t risk to buy reservations in the station. This will be a rather busy travel day, so best reserve seats as soon as possible. It’s traditionally one of the most busy days on trains. A lot of people will head to their family to spend Christmas with them.

I suppose you know that you have to reserve seats on TGVs in France. Each one will cost €10 or €20. Intercités cost €10. 

And the direct TGV to Paris costs €29.

Reservations aren\t required in Switzerland, except for a couple of scenic mountain trains.
