Hello,  first time Europe and rail traveler so pardon my limited knowledge   I am continuing to search the website

5 of us traveling from London>Paris >Bern>Milan over the course of 7 days.  It appears that the Eurail Global Pass will be the best option.  During those days we have some side trips that we’d like to do. For instance. We’d like to travel to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland for the day.  Are the trains that are off the main line included in the cost or will they be extra.

Thank you very much.

Here you can download a map where you can see the validity of Interrail/Eurail in Switzerland.

Thank you!

When?

Seats on €* in main/hi-season re in very short supply and must e REServed asap.

Do NOT try to reserve via app-will only lead to problems-use other means, in your case best to call SNCF directly.

NOte: REServ over border cost quite high-can make this much lower to only last stop in FRance, then change to local trains. In Swiss no RES needed.Unless the USA style ´time is money´ applies for your+party

For last ti IT: do this at any swiss counter shortly after aerival

The advice from the experienced travellers in the community is to use other ways to make reservations than the Interrail/Eurail website.

You can look at the guide in the link:

https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/how-to-get-reservations-105

If you, after having looked at the guide, have questions about how to make specific reservation, please give your travel details (departure date, time and route) preferably in a new topic, and you will get advice.
