I would like tot go from Holland to Poland by plane and from Poland to Holland by train. Is it possible to check in somewhere else than your home country?

Sure, you can start your pass anywhere. You don't even need to visit your home country. :)

      Also note that you cannot “check in” with an Interrail pass. You can pass any gates in the Netherlands by scanning the QR code.
