Thank you! I had overseen this option at the bottom. And no, the train is not in the Interrail planner for the date I am interested in (2nd July).
thank you!
ok …? so activating QR codes (creating tickets) does not affect the possibility of making changes but activating travel days does? sorry, it’s just a bit weird for someone who has never used this before
Hi again, I did find a seat on a night train connection from Copenhagen to Hamburg (IC399) leaving at 23:52 and arriving at 06:26, but I found it on the Deutsche Bahn website. The interrail planner does not show this train on the date I am interested in travelling. From other chats, my guess is that the Interrail planner is not fully updated and that this is the reason why this train doesn’t show up, but as far as I understand all IC should be ok? I have also read in the FAQs that I can manually add train connections that do not show up on the Interrail planner. I cannot see this option yet (I guess this is because my pass is not activated yet). Do you have any experiences with this manual adding of journeys? Do I add them under ‘My trip’ or under ‘My pass’? Thanks :)
yes, I did. Thanks! :) But I also read the FAQs and I got confused with not being able to change my trip linked to the Global pass. Now I think I get it. The trip linked cannot be changed but I can add, remove and change journeys from the trip linked to the global pass as long as the travel date has not started (just as mentioned above). From the FAQs and video I also understand that I have to manually add journeys saved under ‘my trip’ linked to my global pass (sliding the bar to the right) in order to be able to create a ticket under ‘my pass’.But what I am not sure about is: can I still change, delete journeys from my trip and pass after having added them manually by sliding the bar. Or should I do this just before going onboard - just in case?
Thanks!
Yes, I had noted Flensburg as an option, but did not know about Niebuell. Thanks!
Thanks again. I checked both DSB and DB, in addition to Interrail website. All three suggest there are no more seats available. Thanks for the suggestion about cd.cz and recommendations about reservations at counters.
Thank you so much for useful information. I am only briefing changing trains in Germany on my way to Spain, so I am not sure I’ll have the time to try to book the seat at the RENFE train there by DB counter, but now I know this is an option :)It was København-Hamburg where seats were sold out (at several times too), but I manage to get an alternative route …
Thanks for the info regarding Ouigo, Yorkie! I will look into the other route, but I think will be too long, particularly when heading for north Spain. Thanks for sharing valuable info and suggestions :)
Thanks for the information, mcadv. yes, basque. Munich has sentimental value. I am a bit flexibel with the route, but since I have never done such a long rail journey, a bit cautious too. I just hope to avoid getting stranded somewhere in winter :) I guess I am too late with planning. Prices southern France are incredible high.
Thanks for the information AI_G. I will look again the route via Lyon, but my impression was that it was difficult to avoid TGVs between Lyon and Bordeaux and that rail tickets there were reeeeeally expensive. The site you mention to make researvations for French trains only works with Interrail pass, and I was hoping to get an idea of the real price after adding seat reservations before going for it :) Good to know the price range EUR10-20 on TGV. Thanks again :)
