Thank you Zagmund for your very good picture of first time users and ralderton for your comments on the design process.Lets hope the developers pick it up.
I do not know who rated this topic as ‘solved’ because it is not.And who rated an answer as ‘best answer ‘ because it is not. Many community members keep saying “ there is no need” : No there is not. But the way it works it is an obligation, not a choice. And always the same phrase: ‘ if you accidentally….’.The point is: it seems that a travel day is taken out off your account before you start travelling if you activate your pass in advance. That should not happen.Must say that the service team was very fast and helpful in addressing this problem.
We have been in touch with the service centre; very quick response: everything sorted out now. Great Service! But it stays strange that your pass shows a used travel day before your travel day is there and before you set one foot on the train.FAQ states: You can activate your Pass any time up until your first travel day.So maybe you should not add a journey till the day you travel?
Thank you for your respons.“There's no need to do that at all.”Maybe no need but it is not forbidden either.Interrail should state: Do not, by no means, activate your pass before first travel day!No Need: for me it means you do not have to but you can do it if you want.So i lost a travel day.A travel day should be triggered by the day connected to the journey you add to your pass.
We have the same problem: we activated the pass because we want to travel in that period. No need to deactivate it.But it takes a travel day for a journey in that period we have not made yet.Like in the example of Eric. That s not correct. As long the day of the journey has not passed, it should not take a travel day.How do we get our day back?
Thanks Casey!
Additional question:where did you find the 4 euro reservation fee? I only can find the ticket costs 12,70 at RENFE, without discounts for interrail.
Hi, i want to travel the same route, opposite direction and from sevilla onward. So i will use a travel day..But still i have the same question, because my interrailpass is of no use is i have to pay the fulle amount for seat and reservation? How does this work? also for other MD (medio distancia) trains in spain.Thanks.
My phone is in Dutch.I cannot find any setting where i can select English or German and not Spanish.
