Hi, Copenhagen - Stockholm I have booked for ourselves (Interrail Global Pass 1st class) a few days ago on www.sj.se. Quite easy. Under “Who will travel?”, you can specify “Interrail or Eurailpass”. You need to introduce your pass number (looks like the system accepts anything, for example I23457834). Indeed, more expensive in 1st class, but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion (less crowded and bigger seats).
I have some experience with DB seat only reservations. Indeed there is no QR code. Don’t worry, that’s the way it is. In general, DB is open access, reservation is never mandatory. In fact, even at ticket check, they don’t seem to bother too much about it. They will check your ticket only. However, this is still very useful to make a reservation in my opinion, especially during heavily travelled periods. And DB has the Interrail friendliest seat reservation system in Europe, where you can choose your seat on a seat map.
Hi, very interesting case. In my opinion, the fact that the train runs through Germany doesn’t play any role in this case, because the train doesn’t stop in Germany. From a tarification point of view, you remain in Austria between Innsbruck and Salzburg. Why? Look at fare offers on www.oebb.at. This is purely Austrian tarification. In fact: In the booking process, the customer never gets a note that the train runs through Germany. However, the difficulty for the Zurich-Prague night train will be somewhere else. U cannot book it online with Interrail. Check seat61.com about this. There it says: Prague to Zurich by EuroNight sleeper train: With 2nd class pass, bed in 3-berth sleeper €45, bed in 2-berth sleeper €58, bed in single-berth sleeper €110. With 1st class pass, bed in 3-berth deluxe sleeper with shower & toilet €45, bed in 2-berth deluxe sleeper with shower & toilet €58, bed in single-bed deluxe sleeper with shower & toilet €110.Passholder reservations for this trai
Hi Kathrine, the only way to book France to Italy online for Interrail is the Interrail/Eurail booking website (under “BOOK RESERVATIONS” on www.interrail.eu). You need to login for this and enter all information of the travellers and the corresponding passes. A bit of hard work, but this is the only way possible for France to Italy TGVs. Is it what you have done? Btw I have just checked for your date, it looks like there is availability. It’s a Wednesday, don’t worry, I feel there is enough availability. In my opinion, here the problem is rather the (high) price of the reservation (33 EUR 2nd, 47 EUR 1st). But there is no way to avoid it.If you don’t make it online, I suggest you go to a train station near you. Good luck !
Pass reservations for the sleeper Prague - Zurich can also be bought on the CD website. Right, thanks ! Good to know for future trips.
Hi Jenny, basically in France: couchette 2nd class = 6 berths per compartment. Couchette 1st class = 4 berths per compartment. If you hold Interrail 2nd class, I’m afraid you only have the option 6 berths per compartment. As far as I know, it’s not possible to block the remaining 2 berths. Well, I have small children myself, I understand what you are looking for. Actually, Toulon - Paris by TGV day train is just a bit more than 4 hours, it might be an alternative for u.
For trains in Italy and from Switzerland to Italy, it's best to use ÖBB. Do NOT use the "Seat only” option but add the "Interrail / Eurail” discount to all persons and then look for normal tickets. It's best to book trains separately. For domestic trains in Switzerland, don't book any reservations; that's a waste of money. Just tested this and for some reason, the Spiez to Milan train doesn't give any results although it is open for booking (as you can see on www.trenitalia.com). You could call ÖBB (+43 5 1717) and see if they have more success. They should be able to send reservations by email. Hi! Thanks for your help. We already have global passes. Do we still avoid using ‘seat only'? Yes, you still avoid using “seat only”. Krgds.

This is exactly what I have tried doing online at the interrail.eu site and it keeps showing “prices not available” og just making an error, when I get through the steps and is about to pay. I tried my
Hi Kathrine, many thanks for the update. So painful with these credit cards with SNCF... Another idea: Try to book the teenager as an adult (by putting an earlier birth year), which means you book 4 adults together. Doesnt play any role as there is anyway no price reduction for young people for this reservation.
Hi Kathrine, many thanks for your reply. Sad to see the poor SNCF service on the phone, especially the story with the same names. Is it a threat? Anyway, I would not bother, not say anything and just go. I bet the conductor won’t say anything 99% probability… You have paid after all !For other readers who may have the same issue with France - Italy reservations: you can try to call the contact center of SBB (Swiss Railways): +41 848 44 66 88. They have access to almost all SNCF offers and can issue electronic tickets. And they accept all major credit cards without hassle ;-)
