I’m wanting to book two trips in Italy: Rome to Sulmona, and Rome to Trevi in July. When I put the information into the Eurail planner I get a message, “Sorry, we can’t find any trains that match your search.” Yet when I go on the Trenitalia website and search for those journeys there are many of them to choose from. Why are they available, but not on the Eurail app? Are they not covered by the pass, or are they not yet available for pass holders?
When trying to get seat reservations for London-Edinburgh Eurail indicates that I need to get those through the rail carrier. Eurail says the carrier is “East Coast (GR)“ but I don’t know what railway company this is. In Eurail’s list of companies in Great Britain, with links to their sites, there is nothing that resembles this. I am assuming it is the LNER as they run most of the east coast trains. Does anyone know what the carriers are that match Eurail’s reference?
I’ve begun booking some trips for the summer and have booked Amsterdam to Brussels and Brussels to London. The Amsterdam to Brussels portion has a ticket QR code on the Eurail app, but the Brussels to London segment (on Eurostar) does not. I did, however, have to add additional passport information on the Eurostar website to get my seat reservation for the Brussels-London portion of the trip and I printed out this ticket with a QR code directly from Eurostar. Can I assume that this ticket from Eurostar is the only one I need, and that there isn’t a separate QR code required on the Eurail app?
I’m still confused about the two of us travelling together with passes on one or two devices. I’ll be purchasing the passes for the two of us, but when travelling (especially at stations where you scan the QR code to get through automatic gates) how can that be achieved if the passes are on a single device? Can I have my travel partner log into my pass on his device to access the same information, or should I take a screen shot of the QR code for his ticket and send to him to present?
Our trip to Italy and France will be broken up by a two-week Mediterranean cruise. Is it advisable to purchase two 15-day passes, (15 days before the cruise, and 15 days after), or another pass option?
I will be booking a mobile pass for my spouse and I for our upcoming trip. From what I’ve read here, both of our passes can be kept on one device. How would we go through scanned gates at stations with the one device with both of our passes on it, or would it be easier to have our individual passes on our own devices? When I am booking/reserving trips on my device do the booked trips automatically go to both passes, or do we need to make a separate booking/reservation for each of our passes?
