Hi there! I will be traveling to Spain, Italy, and Switzerland in the Spring. When in Switzerland, we plan on visiting Interlaken, Grindelwald, possibly Luaterbrunnen, Zurich, and maybe Bern if we have time before we go to Spain. I believe there are no trains through Eurail that take you to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen so a separate pass/ ticket has to be purchased, but since we would have the Eurail pass, we get a discount. Does traveling to these other cities that are not included count as a travel day since we are using our discount? I would assume they dont but just want to make sure before purchasing my pass.I am wondering the same thing for Spain. We will be traveling to Valencia, Seville, Madrid, and Caceres. On the map I see that “other lines” go to Caceres but since I cannot add this city to my itinerary through Eurail, I do not believe that Eurail trains go to that location. I’d like to confirm that traveling to these cities won’t cost me an extra travel day and also how woul
Hi everyone! I plan on visiting Spain, Italy, and Switzerland over 3 weeks. To my understanding, there are some stops in Switzerland, such as Interlaken which are not covered but we are given a discount when purchasing. Are these available for purchase through the app or website? Or would this have to be done in person. I’d like to figure out how much more I’d have to spend on transportation on top of the eurail pass if i decide to go this route. We plan on taking a train from Switzerland to Spain, I noticed there are multiple ticket options. Some say, “pass not valid” what does this mean exactly? To get to Spain, there are multiple train changes and some of the stops are valid, some require reservation, and some say pass not valid, Paris for example is not valid. I believe we would need to find a route that allows us to travel there with no issues. Has anyone had any difficulties with this?
Hi Everyone! I will be in Europe for 3 weeks traveling to Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. During out time in Switzerland we’re hoping to visit Interlaken, Grindelwald, and Zurich. When looking at the railway map, the only stop in that area is Bern, does that mean there is no train available to go to the other cities? I got the app to see if there are trains that run to the area and it does show stop stops in Interlaken, I’m just confused as to why it does not show on the map. I’m wondering if maybe a different pass is required or it would cost extra to get to these cities. I appreciate anyone’s help on this, thanks!
