This is my first time using the Eurail pass. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a seat reservations 2-3hours ahead of departure. I”m landing from the US to CDG and am concerned over flight delays along w long lines to clear immigration/customs.I would like to book my seats after I get on the train from the airport. Assuming there are still seats, can I book my seats the same day, hours in advance? I”m planning on going strait from the airport to the train station and take one a few hours later (3 hr buffer) but I have no control over how long the lines are at the airport thus prefer to book after I’m cleared to go..
I’m trying to reserve seats for my trip from Paris to Frankfurt.Per raileurope site that eurail linked me to, it shows no seats for all trains that afternoon while i haven’t completed checkout it seems to be bookable on the eurail site.. Actually when I click on the more info link, it shows it can only be done at the station?? What happened to reserving all online? is it because there’s no space anymore or i’m rolling the Russian roulette? Can someone tell me whether it is really all sold out?

I'm looking to get confirmation on my math for the Swiss Pass or Eurail pass.I will have 7 days of traveling or benefits from the Eurail pass. only 4 of the days will be used in Switzerland (STP). My hotel in Lucerne provides the local passes.Below is a breakdown of each day of travel and expected costs. I priced out the Seat reservation itinerary againsthttps://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/eurail-timetable#/This will be for One adult and a 6 year old in April Day 1 Paris to Frankfurt 120.35EUR Includes seat reservation, ICE / Eurail Seat Reservation costs 19EUR PPDay 2 Frankfurt Flugen to Mannhein 17.9 EUR. I need to go to Heidelburg Station, how would that work, separate ticket for the S train? The Eurail site included the ticket there. Seat reservation not required Day 2 Heidelburg to Zurich HB 69.9 EUR Seat reservation not requiredDay 3 ZurichDay 4 Zurich to Lucerne 23.4CHF IR trains, Seat reservation not requiredDay 5 Mt Rigi 50% for Eurail and STPDay 6 T
I'm looking for guidance on whether I should get the Swiss pass or Eurail pass. This will be for one adult and one 6 yo (she gets rides free) Below is my itinerary.Day 1 Paris to GenevaDay 2 to Montreaux(Golden Line pass)LucerneDay 3 (Titlis)Day 4 (Golden Round Trip)Day 4 Zurich. Based on my research, (All amounts in EUR)1. Let's say Paris to Geneva costs $60 for 2 in advance.2. Seat reservation of $30x2 Eurail3. Both passes get me rides on the GoldenPass.4. Titlis costs 129 w Eurail, 62 for SP5. Golden roundtrip both have the same $41 surcharge. I should factor what I'll assume to be small amounts for local trips on the tram/bus if I do not have the SP.I will need 3 days of the WP 257 and the minimum for Eurail is 4 days at 194 andThey both come about the same? $420 or so? Factor in local trips in Lucerne and Zurich, I probably should get the SP as it’s more convenient than scrambling for change to get tram tickets? Not staying city center in Geneva, Lucerne. Thanks
