So I've called and i have spoken to rail staff and they are all very persistent that this train was never running on the Saturday as annaB said. Perhaps it's just my error. Wish I had taken a photo of the ticket machines. Regardless if anyone is ever in my position train hop further up the route and hopefully there is a free seat. This worked for me. Thank you all for the help
Thank you for the replies. I have a feeling all the seats are already booked but I will try to call them.
I can't see the train in the planner tonight and according to the timetable from SJ Nord who runs the train, the departure 22.50 from Oslo S to Trondheim only runs on Mondays-Fridays and on Sundays. Weird that mine has it. I've got the up to date version too. Any reason why the train would still be in the station machines for 17th if it shouldn't be running? Also saw that Trondheim to mo i rana is running with massive disruptions. I picked the wrong time to travel Norway.
The operator on that line, GW Train Regio, is listed as not valid for passes. Other users have reported passes not being accepted on trains on this line. I could be wrong but as far as I know it was the IC 533 train https://czech-transport.com/index.php?train=7716&lang=enThe interail app seems to say it's valid and I've had no issue with IC trains in Czech before. The second bus may have been the Regio replacement though. From tabor i was told to go to budejovice then get the connection to krumov. I hate buses to i was just following instructions from other people.
Please report the refused entry to rail replacement buses to customer support: https://eurail.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/requests/new Include details such as date, time, location, route of the bus etc. so they can take this up with Czech railways. You can additionally complain to Czech railways themselves: https://www.cd.cz/en/kontaktni-formular/ Not really looking to complain or make a report just letting people know of the potential issue. No interest in potentially getting someone fired. - And to clarify i was told no by a ticket inspector so I left, got a co-ordinator and she asked the driver in Czech both gave no response. I missed this bus obviously and waited for the next where I was also refused entry.
Not sure if there's a question here but with your last paragraph i did see buses running to the station (34/36) and multiple close to it, but yes the central station hasn't been demolished but it's locked and unused. The track may also have been lifted. The new station is hereRailway Station Beograd Centarhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/gW3Sanbzu1PMz2mp7 To 'bridge the gap' The best site to use for me was omio or flixbus. Pretty much the standard. The best way is to ask at a station for the bus however as it's more reliable.I honestly didn't see the Novi sad train as being much better but i did just come from central Europe where the trains are very good.
This isn't mandatory on all trains it's just advised. Best to see if a reservation is a must. be prepared you may have to move/get off the train but I've been in your situation in France and Italy and they didn't care if there were no seats i sat on the floor by the bikes.
I've had many issues with the reservation system. If this were me i would book my seat for the last polish destination and just stay on till Berlin. This or go to your station and try to get them to sort it.
I just made a post with all the information, searching 'Serbia' should find it. The short answer is you need to get a bus at some point. From dubrvnik-podgorcia or Belgrade/Novi sad - budapest but traveling within Serbia is easy enough and i posted timetable info on my post.
