Just starting research for a few days in the South of France, and would like to get as close to some of the smaller old towns by rail. Is there a site where I can access a list (or legible map) of rail stations throughout the region?
Wife and I will be traveling together. Better to keep our Eurail Passes on one phone, or separate them? If we are ever separated there will be a much bigger problem than a rail ticket.
Researching whether to purchase a one country pass, and on some routes some trains say conditions apply (to a one country pass) while other trains do not. I assumed that meant that some routes took you through a different country, but that doesn’t seem to be the case in one route I’m researching (Venice to Vipiteno, Italy.) It says to check the travel info section for more details, but I can’t find that section.Any help?
Any comments on a dress code for 1st class train journeys in Italy. I will be bringing my 20-22 year old Grandsons, and they probably want to wear shorts, maybe more casual than Bermudas. I know they will be somewhat out of place, but don’t want to see them asked to get off the train.
Due to Covid, we are contemplating a huge change in travel plans. We were going to have a train intensive trip to Northern and Eastern Europe--due to difficulties with entry to Hungary and testing to enter the Czech Republic, we are going to, instead, spend 3 weeks in Italy with a lot fewer train days.I recently purchased 6 tickets for the family with the Plus feature. I need to replace the 6 passes with a value of about $4400, with 6 passes with a total value around $3000.Since it is a large cost downgrade, is it better to cancel and re-buy or try to exchange? Our travel will start in about 18 days from today.Suggestions?
If I am traveling with a 22 day (consecutive) E pass that has already been activated--I want to board a train from Amsterdam to Prague that does not require a reservation: What do I have to do? Can I just board the train? Do I need to enter trip data before boarding?Same question if seat reservation is required. What do I need to have on my phone at boarding?Pass is 1st Class if that matters. Thanks for the help, really excited to travel again, but this is the first trip with a pass, and it’s also multiple people. Guessing when we arrive it will make more sense, but sitting in Phoenix, Arizona, it’s pretty confusing.
I have read on this site about several folks who have had problems with the Mobile Pass. Can I ask--is there anyone out there that has had good success with Mobil? We will be buying consecutive day passes, so assuming it only has to be activated once. (?) We will probably have to make a couple of seat reservations, but most of our trips don’t seem to require them. Thanks for the patience with a rookie.BL
Not currently allowing me to purchase paper passes. What is the best way to purchase the 6 mobile tickets so each person will be able to access from their own phone? We may not take every ride together, but I am paying for all of them and want to use my own credit card for the the award pointsThanks,Bill
Planning a 3 generation trip for 6, Old and Middle generations will be spending 21 days, young adult grandsons will join us for 14 days. Never bought more that a specific ride before, but am planning to make this as simple as possible and purchase 22 day passes and 14 day passes for the kids. From what I’ve read here, there may be some issues trying to get the tickets to the proper phones and also some issues with getting the mobile pass to operate properly. Trip will include Prague and Budapest. Any input would be appreciated. The trip has a lot of moving parts, I just want the trains to be as simple as possible.
