Days not travelling

Do you only take a day off your 5 or 10 day allowance when you are travelling?

ie You don’t have to use 5 days after your first journey to use the pass, you can stay in a city a couple of days without eating into your allowance, and travel later?

With a flexi pass with 7 days in one month or 10 days in two months you can use the travel days whenever you like during the validity of the pass. I hope this answers your question.

Just in case you haven’t worked this out:

A travel day runs from 0000 to 2359 CET (or 2300 to 2259 in the UK). During that time you can board as many trains as you like scheduled to leave by 2359 CET, even if you are still onboard after 2359.

If you then leave a train and board a connecting train departing after 2359 (i.e. the next day) you will need another travel day.
