Mid June I’m on my last trip within my 3months Global Pass: Scotland-Northern Ireland-Ireland-England. After staying in Edinburgh I plan to use the connection (train, bus and ferry) to Belfast (via Glasgow, Ayr, Cairnryan), run by Scotrail. Is it correct that no reservations are necessary and I just have to show my Global Pass online ticket?

No you do need to pay for the ferry, about 30€. Stena Line offers a 30% discount for Interrail/Eurail users (code EURAIL2023). Book on https://www.stenalinetravel.com/

I don't know if the pass is valid on the bus between Ayr and Cairnryan.

Otherwise buy an advance ticket for a direct bus from Glasgow which goes onto the ferry. 32£

Maybe someone else can advise
