europe in june

Looking to travel to Europe in June. Possibly starting in Spain, through south france and ending in northern Italy. Trying to focus my trip on eurail routes, how do I ensure I am choosing the most efficient routes (ie. direct trains) with limited stops?

"Eurail routes"is a broad term: most railway services are covered by Eurail. You can go from Madrid to Marseille directly (takes about 8 hours), from Marseille to Nice in 2.5 hours also in frequent direct trains and from Nice to Milan in about 6 hours with one switch of train in Ventimiglia. You can check the stations at which these trains stop, and maybe find some places for intermediate stops (Barcelona, Nîmes, Avignon, St Raphael for St. Tropez ferry in summer, Monaco, Genua, ...).

Well usually the trains with seats reservations are the one with less connections and fastest. But I think to cross from from Spain to the south of France, you don’t really have many options. From Barcelona you can cross to France through Narbone and Perpignan, then it all depends the cities you want to visit in France.
