I want to travel in august from Spain to france with 2 children (we are 2 adults)

How much would the pass cost for the 4?

We want to make the trip on one day, and the return trip on another day…

Thanks you!!!!

For just one return journey, a pass may not be worth it. You'll have to check for yourself whether regular tickets would be cheaper than passes plus reservations.

You can see on interrail.eu what the various passes cost. Prices depend on age.

As I have found, the pass is better than buying separate tickets, but it doesn't let me book so far in advance.

Does the pass include trains in your own country of origin?

Thanks!!

What's the journey you'd like to make? Which date? The more details you give the better the advice will be.

Yes, trains in your own country are included. You still need to pay for seat reservations when required (i.e. 10€ on AVEs).

We want to go from the 18th (outbound) to the 24th (return) of August.

If I looked it up, it would cost us 330 euros, because there are two passes for adults. The 7-year-old girl lets me select a ticket but it's free, and I can't select the 3-year-old boy anymore and that worries me.

If I look for the tickets separately, they cost me more, so I thought it was a better option, but you guys are the experts!

Normally, when booked well in advance, normal tickets should be cheaper.

What date and route do you want to travel?

You still haven't mentioned the route. ;)

Most tickets and Interrail reservations for August are not available yet so you might see all kinds of prices now.

On top of Interrail you'd need to add seat reservations, incl. the 7 y.o. (i.e. 35€ on Barcelona-Paris).

If you mention the route we can make a good comparison.

I am travelling, as I said, from Santiago de Compostela (Spain) to Paris (France).
The travel on August 17-18 and the return  is on the 24th.

We are 2 adults and 2 children and I am worried that even if the 3-year-old child is free, if he does not appear on the ticket, they will cause me problems.

Thanks for te help!!!

The 3-year-old doesn't need a ticket or reservation if he doesn't need a seat. If he needs a seat, then you need to order a free child pass together with an adult pass, and then you can also book seat reservations for him.

As to the route, there are 2 main options: via Irún and via Barcelona. Via Barcelona is probably more expensive, both with a pass and with regular tickets.

thank you very much for the response.I found this option from Bayonne to Paris, which is a night train, which is something that interests me! but it's still too early to compare it since the dates I want don't come out.If the pass costs me 330 euros, I think it is better than the separate tickets, since just Bayona Paris is already 272 euros and the Galicia Bayona ticket is still missing. If I'm not misunderstanding, it's worth taking the pass! or am I wrong?
