Hi everyone, We are coming to EU in Sep and saw a comment that there might be train works between Interlaken and Milan in August meaning buses are used. My wife is not keen on buses. Just wondering if there will be works closing this line in September please? Also the line from Milan to Tirano? I can’t see any notice of works on the SBB website.

The line closure between Domodossola and Milan lasts until 8 September. From 9 September, trains should be running again, but the timetables have not been published yet.
Thank you very much for the update rvdborgt. It’s cutting it fine for us as we want to travel between Interlaken and Milan on 11 Sep so hopefully the Italians have finished all their work by 8 Sep.

If you have time, you can use it as an excuse to take the spectacular long way round, via the Bernina Pass.
