Does anyone please know whether a France only Interrail pass is valid on SNCF trains to Mullheim from Mulhouse?

Hello,

no it is not valid between Müllheim and the border point between France and Germany.

Hi @Angelo

Are you sure? I see this connection:

Yes, the train is not a SNCF train in Germany, but of DB Regio.

It's a jointly operated train: DB in Germany and SNCF in France. Therefore, the OCP for France is not valid between the border tariff point Neuenburg(Baden)(Gr) and Müllheim.

Sorry, I didn't notice that it is a France only pass. Thanks for the information.

I think that it will be very difficult to buy a ticket from Neuenburg(Baden)(Gr) to Müllheim, but it is possible to buy one from Bantzenheim to Müllheim on sncf-connect.com.

The SNCF ticket office used to be able to do this but I don't know what they can do now after they abandoned large parts of international ticket sales (supposedly temporary). The DB ticket office (and phone sales) should be able to sell it.

Thanks all. This is what I expected, but I wanted to be sure. I see that Sncf connect does sell tickets from Bantzenheim to Mullheim on line - but not from Neuenberg.

@Peter Stokes

I never saw an online system that sells tickets from/to virtual border points. The problem could be that such tickets are only available according to the old international tariffs and must be printed on security paper.

Two years ago, I bought a ticket on bahn.de from Saarbrücken to Forbach, the ticket was send by post and I had to pay the postage! It is now no more possible, I suppose that DB has abandoned such post shipments.

NS, NMBS and DB (partially) now do. You can indicate a network season ticket as a discount.

AFAIK, DB still do post shipments but from what they sell online, most, if not all, is available as an online ticket.
