What can I do if the trip lists the journey as arriving a day later for a 3 hour morning trip?

I created a trip on the mobile app from Rome at 06:25 to Milan at 09:24. But when it was saved to my trip it had (+1day) next to the arrival time. When I deleted and re-planned it the same thing happened. If I try to get a seat reservation for a later part of the trip, it tells me I would still be on another journey.

How do I fix this?

Are you still in Australia?

It's a timezone bug. Ignore it, and it'll fix once you're in Europe.

Please report it to customer service too!

Thank you very much!

In fact I thought could not reserve seats on the Bernina Express panoramic cars, because I could not connect those journeys to my pass. I have now found the seat reservation should be done before buying tickets. Now I find there are no seats on those cars left for the time of my trip. I also want to connect the Milan to Turino and Chur to Zurich journeys to my pass and cannot until I am in Europe, about 3 days before I travel. I hope the trains will not be full.

Buying seat reservations on the Bernina Express panoramic cars a waste of money. Either you travel on the much less crowded reservation free cars on the Bernina Express or you travel on the reservation free regional trains on the same route.

No reservations needed from Chur to Zürich. No reservations possible from Milano to Tirano (if you mean Tirano and not Turino) Turino is a complete different city.

The Eurail Pass is your ticket so you shouldn't buy any tickets. Sometimes you need a seat reservation, which is separate from your pass. Entering a train as a journey in the Railplanner never books anything.

In general, use this page as a guide for seat reservations:

https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

You don't need the rail planner app for reservations.

Thanks AnnaB to all the later replies, and rvdborgt!

Yes, I meant Tirano. and have put the right train into my trip on the app. Thanks.

I do now plan to use the non bookable car on the Bernina express - based on the Man at seat 61’s advice if one cannot get a seat in the panorama cars. But I am interested that is your experience!

The whole idea of booking a seat before you have a  ticket or linked a pass for the train seems crazy to me, but I eventually realised that, and have reserved the seats I need - from Rome to Milan, and Basel to Paris etc. I am still trying to work out what you show the inspector to prove you have a seat reservation. But I will get there.

You should have received an e-mail for the seat reservations. The e-mail would normally contain a barcode, a PDF of the reservation (often with a barcode) or a link to a PDF.
