Does use on S-Bahn use a travel day?

Vicki Morton

We are looking to buy the German one-country pass.  I saw that the pass can be used on the S-Bahn, but I’m wondering if using it there will use up a travel day of the pass?  Also, our travel dates start in one month and end in the next (total of 6 days).  Does the 4-days in one month pass have to be used in one calendar month or can it overlap months?

Yes useing the S-Bahn takes a travelday :/

And it can overlap months :) For example from 10th June till 9th July :)

I can answer only to your first question - yes, even a single short sbahn ride needs a travel day. I think it's better to buy a 24h city pass and save your interrail day for some longer trips.
