Don't understanding inbound/outbound rule.

Hello everyone!

I want to make a trip to 2 countries and start and end in my home country Germany with the 4 day Global Pass.

My 4 traveldays are:

  1. Cologne to Marseille via France.
  2. Marseille to Florence
  3. +4 Florence to Hamburg (2days, one outbound one inbound)

Is this possible? Because to me it seems so that thanks to the condition of the global pass i can only make trip which are originating from my homecountry or going to my homecountry.

If the global pass does not count inbound than that's fine too I just don't understand if I can travel from France to Italy.

On 2 of your 4 travel days, you can also travel in your country of residence. Traditionally, one day outbound and one day inbound. But the mobile pass doesn't look at the direction.

So if you're travelling in Germany on only 2 days, that is fine.

So if you're travelling in Germany on only 2 days, that is fine.

The outbound/inbound rule says that you can only travel on 2 days with the pass in your home country. These days do not have to be in the start and end of the trip. You don’t have to use the outbound/inbound travel days, you can use all 4 days traveling in other countries. If you travel in Germany in the summer I guess that you will have a 9 EUR ticket to use.

Achtung: dieses Sommer denke ich du bist besser dran-und mit sicher viel mehr Ruhe im Kopf-buche mal direkt Sparpreise auf bahn fuer die an+abreise. Die sagen sogar dass es mehrfach Billigangebote im sommer geben soll. Mit Pass gibt es sehr hohe ZUschl fuer alles über Grenze mit FR-und ausserdem sind die sehr schwer zu buchen.

Mars→ Fir ist; WARnung! ziemlich schwer-meist wirst du mit Hi-Speed über LYon geführt-das ist mit jeder Art Pass sauteuer. Es geht auch-jedoch sehr viel langsamer-langshin Küste-Nice-Ventimiglia-Genova.Da es ab Fir Direktzuge nur nach M gibt (mit teils SEV=Busersatz aufm Brenner), Fahrtweg über Basel/CH ist nicht ganz auf bahn zu buchen, erst ab MIlano (und dann lokal in IT für Anschluss)

also Köln - Marseille würde bereits die Outbound Reise nutzen :)
Marseille - Florence ist im Ausland spielt also keine Rolle
Frage ist jetzt Florence - München - Hamburg

Möchtest du mit dem Nachtzug Florence- München Fahren und denn sofort weiter nach Hamburg? Falls ja geht es relativ leicht :) Du musst in der App deine reise nur in Salzburg teilen.
Sprich Reisetag 1 Florence - Salzburg Reisetag 2 (inbound Salzburg - München - Hamburg) denn so wird der Inbound auf den Tag 2 gelegt ;)

Falls du in München nocht Auftenhalt (von einigen Tagen) haben möchtest würde ich den Nachtzug in Salzburg verlassen und mit dem 9€ ticket mit einem direkten Regionalzug (stündlich) nach München fahren und denn einige Tage Später den letzten Interrailreise tag als inbound day von München nach Hamburg nutzen.
