I have an idea on using the pass but I’m not quite sure if this works. So I’m planning to hit 13 cities in 2 months which is like 12 travel days but getting a pass for (15 travel days) is considerably expensive compared to the 10 travel day pass. Could I just buy regular tickets for the two cheapest destinations in my planner and use the 10 travel day on the most expensive train rides?. Cause I never done interail and was wondering whether they would be a problem if I started a travel day on a city that I never got off with the pass if that makes sense

Sure you can do that. Indeed look for the 2 cheapest days and buy regular tickets for those 2 days. And verify that the total is still less than a 15-day pass.
