Hi everyone! 

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip through Europe in 10 days, he's disabled so we both asked the customer service how to obtain the free caregiver pass he's eligible to get, but after a month, we are still waiting for an answer and we are getting worried!

What's the procedure to get the free caregiver pass?

Can anyone help us?

How did you contact Customer Support?

I suggest that you check the staus of your request in the request database, see below. 

 

Use this link to come to the request database.

Click "Sign in" in the upper right corner.

 

Enter your email address and Click " Get a password".

If the system doesn't recognise your email address, then there is no request registered and you need to go back to the start screen and enter a request.

If you get a password, you can then log in and look at the status of your request.

I just submitted a new request, we are traveling in germany, denmark, sweden and norway, we didn't make our reservations because we wanted to hear about the pass first, but we are going to soon.

Ok.  The trains will be very crowded during the summer so it is wise to make reservations also on trains that do have optional  reservation.

During the summer there is mandatory reservation on the IC trains between Germany and Denmark.

I bought two carer's (complimentary) passes yesterday via the "my interrail” web site.  Their customer support was quick to reply.  I had to buy the pass and then send the order number along with documentation evidence to confirm disability etc.  I went for mobile passes and had them within a few hours.

You could start by emailing support@myinterrail.co.uk and go from there.
