I plan to buy the pass to travel from:
1) London king cross to Edinburgh
2) Glasgow to Liverpool
3) Liverpool to London paddington
Can this pass be used?

Indeed, you do want to reserve your seats on the longer distance trains from and to London (for free!) via https://www.gwr.com/your-tickets/seat-reservations or https://www.lner.co.uk/travel-information/make-a-reservation/
BUT depending on when you plan and if youre willing now to fix it all by advance bookings, this may work out cheaper-or not. IF you also plan to see more of EURope then a pass will likely pay off-and then do not forget to book that €* early enough-or cover a longer distance in the air
