Hi Dear community Members,

I want to know that what countries are included in Eurail Pass?

What is the duration period of this global pass?

Does we pay any charges to get this pass or free of cost?

Just in case you are unsure:

2 types of pass, flexible, which allows X travel days In Y months. And continuous passes which allow travel on all days for X days or months.

Passes can be activated, that is started, any time up to 11 months after purchase,  but some promotions may be less.

The prices are for the basic travel but some trains require reservations at an extra cost, ranging from a few euros to a few 10s per passenger.

It should be self-evident that all this info can easily be found in the general site. And in case you decide to buy a pass, you will also not be taken by hand or US-style just call for any shriek but have to fetch for yourself. Yes, can be a challenge for some.

Valid in 33 countries=covers about all of EUR west of what once used to be Soviet-Rossye. Except-always-Albania, includes Turkey.

BUT; some of these are notorious hard to travel in, due to need to RES nearly all and also via cumbersome way: ESpana, followed by FRance and ITaly. Prepare yourself very well for that-or change plans-it also seems that each&every newbee falls in the very same traps by wanting just those trains that are hardest to get.

Some minor countries in what once was Yugoslavija are cut off from the network as they have only a very few, very bad, very cheap domestic services: Serbije, Bosnia, Macedonia. A pass is simply not very useful there.

Thank you so much for guiding me in such a great way, Yes,  I also visit Eurail but here the purpose of the question arising is to learn the community mindset about this global pass like him.

I think it should be necessary before when you are going to plan something. You have to be aware its positive and negative feedback.

For every kind of trip by train in Europe, there’s usually suitable pass.

As your travels get more concrete, you can get back to us and we can help you find the right pass. Don’t try to to see everything at once, less is more.

Just make sure you plan your travels are done in a +/- geographical logical way. :)

Hi @JackMorgan

To answer your questions:

  1. Eurail/Interrail Pass is included in 33 different countries within Europe. Here is a list with all the railway companied included in the Pass.

  2. You can choose between flexi Passes, which allow you to travel x days within 1, 2 or 3 months. Otherwise, you can buy a continuous Pass, where every day counts as a travel day, either for 15 or 22 days or 1,2 or 3 months.

  3. In general you do not need tickets or supplements if you have the Pass, but if you’re taking a high speed or overnight train, you may need to make reservations.

Have a lovely day!
